Ingredients

  • 250 ml (1 cup) butter
  • 125 ml (½ cup) sugar
  • 375 ml (1 ½ cups) brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) vanilla extract
  • 625 ml (2 ½ cups) flour
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) baking soda
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) baking powder
  • Your choice of chocolate, nuts, dried fruit...

Preparation

  1. Whisk butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and salt in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in vanilla, flour, baking soda and baking powder.
  3. Add chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit or any other ingredient of your choice to flavor the cookies.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 180°C (350°F).
  6. Shape dough into balls the size of a small ping-pong ball.
  7. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, spread the dough balls and bake for about 10 minutes.
  8. Let cool before serving.
