Foie gras bonbons with maple slivers

FOIE GRAS BONBONS WITH MAPLE SLIVERS

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 15 minutes - Cooking time : 15 to 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) maple syrup
  • 200 g (7 oz) foie gras or terrine of your choice, cubed
  • ¼ baguette bread, very thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200° C (400° F).
  2. Whisk maple syrup, salt and pepper into butter in a bowl.
  3. Dip bread slices in mixture.
  4. Place bread slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool.
  6. Place the croutons in a plastic bag and crush coarsely.
  7. Roll the cubes of foie gras into balls with your hands.
  8. Then roll the balls in the croutons.
  9. Set aside in the fridge before serving.
