Gusta Cajun veggie burger with mango mayo and sriracha

Ingredients

  • 4 Gusta Classic Veggie Patties
  • 4 burger buns
  • 250 ml (1 cup) mango, finely diced
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) mayonnaise
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) Sriracha sauce
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) Cajun seasoning
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 125 ml (1 cup) crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Preparation

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the Sriracha and half of the diced mango.
  3. Set aside the remaining mango for assembling the burgers.
  4. Lightly brush the veggie patties with olive oil, then coat them with Cajun seasoning.
  5. Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until they are hot through and lightly charred.
  6. Meanwhile, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill.
  7. Spread the mango and sriracha mayonnaise on the buns.
  8. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, the Cajun patties, the remaining mango, and the crispy fried onions.
  9. Assemble the burgers and serve immediately.
