Ingredients
- 750 ml (3 cups) fresh pitted cherries
- 90 ml (6 tablespoons) maple syrup
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) vanilla extract
- 250 ml (1 cup) flour
- 250 ml (1 cup) rolled oats
- 250 ml (1 cup) sugar
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) softened butter
- 600 ml (2 1/2 cups) frozen yogurt
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the barbecue for indirect cooking over medium heat, closing the lid to trap the heat.
- Mix the cherries with the maple syrup and vanilla, then pour the mixture into an aluminum pan.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, sugar, and a small pinch of salt.
- Add the softened butter and work the mixture with your hands until it has a sandy, slightly crumbly texture.
- Spread the crumble over the cherries.
- Place the dish on the indirect side of the grill, close the lid, and cook for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top is lightly browned and the cherries are gently bubbling.
- Let cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the crumble in bowls and top each portion with a scoop of frozen yogurt.
