Ingredients
- One apple crumble cake
- A pinch of sea salt
For the sauce
- 190 ml (¾ cup) heavy cream
- 125 ml (½ cup) maple syrup
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) brown sugar
- 2.5 ml (½ teaspoon) vanilla extract
- Zest of ½ lemon
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with the rack in the middle.
- Combine the sauce ingredients in a saucepan and mix well.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes, whisking occasionally.
- Transfer the crumble cake to an ovenproof dish and pour the sauce over it.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Let cool slightly and sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
