Pasta gratin with asparagus and bacon

PASTA GRATIN WITH ASPARAGUS AND BACON

Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 portions pasta, cooked
  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 2 cups béchamel sauce
  • 8 slices bacon, chopped and cooked
  • 500 ml (2 cups) cheddar cheese, grated
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) breadcrumbs

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Clean the asparagus and cut off 1/4 of the length of the stalks, which should be discarded.
  3. Cut the asparagus into small sections.
  4. In a hot pan, sauté the shallot in the fat of your choice for 2 minutes. Add the asparagus, garlic and lemon juice and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, add the pasta, béchamel sauce, prepared asparagus, bacon, 250 ml (1 cup) cheese and mix. Check seasoning.
  6. Place the mixture in an ovenproof dish, cover with the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake for 20 minutes.
