MAPLE AND PINEAPPLE HAM

INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 Ham, bone-in or boneless
- 20-30 Cloves
- 1 - 14 oz can Pineapple slices in juice, drained and juice reserved: 398 ml
- 1 - 19 oz can Maple syrup: 540 ml
PREPARATION
- Place ham in a large saucepan and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer over low heat for 30 min.
- Preheat oven to 140°C (275°F).
- Drain ham and stud with cloves. Place ham in an ovenproof dish. Top with pineapple slices and add maple syrup and reserved pineapple juice. Bake, uncovered, for 90 min, basting the ham with the syrup and pineapple juice mixture 2 or 3 times.
VARIATION
Replace pineapple with canned peaches in their own juice.
