MUSSELS AU GRATIN
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking time : 8 to 12 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 bag fresh mussels
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil or melted butter
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) grey shallot, finely chopped
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) Thai chili, membranes and seeds removed, finely chopped
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) parsley leaves, finely chopped
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) honey
- 1 lemon, juice
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) panko or bread crumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat barbecue to maximum.
- Place mussels on grill, close barbecue lid and wait 2 minutes.
- As soon as the mussels have opened, remove from the heat.
- Shell each mussel, keeping only the shell half that contains the mollusc.
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, shallot, chilli, parsley, honey, lemon juice, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Check seasoning.
- Divide the prepared mixture between the molds.
- Place the mussels on a barbecue-safe plate and cook over indirect heat, with the lid closed, for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Serve warm.
