Preparation: 20 min
Cooking: 35 min
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1 ball of pizza dough
- 125 ml sour cream
- 250 ml shredded mozzarella cheese
- 125 ml shredded Louis d'Or cheese
- 1 white onion, thinly sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 15 ml olive oil
- 30 ml honey
- 125 ml lager
- 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 15 ml herbes de Provence
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 250 g cooked chicken breast, cut into pieces
- A few fresh basil leaves
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 550°F with a pizza stone or two inverted baking sheets inside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the onions and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Stir in the garlic, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and beer. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has completely evaporated and the onions are well caramelized.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the sour cream evenly over the dough, leaving a 2 cm border.
- Distribute the caramelized onions evenly. Top with mozzarella cheese, then sprinkle with grated Louis d'Or cheese. Sprinkle with herbes de Provence.
- Add the chicken breast pieces, if desired.
- Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or in a pizza oven for 3 to 5 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheeses are melted and lightly browned.
- Garnish with a few fresh basil leaves before serving.
