Red Sangria with Cherries, Blackberries, and Rosemary

Sangria rouge aux cerises, mûres et romarin

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) of red wine
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of cherry juice
  • ½ cup (125 ml) of brandy
  • 1 orange, cut into thin slices
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh blackberries
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 cup (250 ml) sparkling water
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Preparation

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, cherry juice, and brandy.
  2. Add the orange slices, cherries, blackberries, and rosemary sprigs. Stir gently.
  3. Cover and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  4. Just before serving, add the sparkling water and stir gently.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in the sangria, and garnish with a few pieces of fruit from the pitcher.
