FRIED RICE WITH SQUID
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 5 minutes - Cooking : 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) calamari, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, julienned
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) canola oil
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) Sambal Oelek sauce
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) soy sauce
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) honey
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) sesame oil
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) ginger, grated
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) tomato paste
- 4 portions cooked rice
Preparation
- In a hot skillet, sauté the onion in the oil for 2 minutes.
- Add the bell pepper, Sambal Oelek sauce, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger and tomato paste and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
- Add squid and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Stir in rice and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Check seasoning.
