Fried rice with squid

FRIED RICE WITH SQUID

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 5 minutes - Cooking : 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) calamari, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) canola oil
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) Sambal Oelek sauce
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) soy sauce
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) honey
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) sesame oil
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) ginger, grated
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) tomato paste
  • 4 portions cooked rice

Preparation

  1. In a hot skillet, sauté the onion in the oil for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the bell pepper, Sambal Oelek sauce, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger and tomato paste and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
  3. Add squid and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in rice and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Check seasoning.
