Ingredients
- 3 cups (450 g) fresh strawberries, quartered
- ¼ cup (60 ml) maple syrup
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 12 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 8 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- ½ cup (60 g) toasted almonds, chopped
- Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the strawberries, maple syrup, and balsamic vinegar.
- Let marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Add the basil and a few turns of the pepper mill. Stir to combine.
- Divide the ice cream among 4 bowls.
- Top with the strawberries and their marinade.
- Add the toasted almonds and serve immediately.
