Tuna tartare and crispy bites

Tartare de thon et croustillants

Ingredients

  • 1 Artesano Roasted Garlic Baguette
  • 2.4 fl oz (4 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 2.4 fl oz (4 tablespoons) sesame seeds
  • 8.8 oz (250 g) fresh tuna, cubed
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) tahini (sesame paste)
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) honey
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp) red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) Tabasco sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with the rack in the middle position.
  2. Cut the baguette into small sticks.
  3. In a bowl, combine the sticks, olive oil, sesame seeds, and a little salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat and bake for
  5. 10 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Set aside.
  6. In a bowl, combine the tuna, tahini, lime juice, honey, bell pepper, Tabasco sauce, salt, and pepper.
  7. Place the tuna tartare in the center of each large soup plate and arrange the bread sticks around it.
