Ingredients
- 1 120-g package of salmon cubes for tartare
- 250 ml (1 cup) cooked, cooled rice
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) mayonnaise
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) soy sauce
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) sesame oil
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) honey
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) finely diced cucumber
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) finely diced red bell pepper
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) finely chopped red onion
- 6 to 8 large leaves of Boston or romaine lettuce
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Squeeze the tube of cubed salmon into a bowl. Add the mayonnaise, 15 ml (1 tbsp) soy sauce, oil, honey, cucumber, red bell pepper, and red onion.
- Gently mix to coat the salmon without breaking it up.
- Place a small amount of cooked rice at the bottom of each lettuce leaf, then top with the salmon mixture. Drizzle with the remaining soy sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately.
