Ingredients
- 400 g (13 1/2 oz) fondue beef, sliced very thin
 - 60 ml (4 tbsp) cornstarch
 - 60 ml (4 tbsp) all-purpose flour
 - 2 ml (1/2 tsp) baking soda
 - 30 ml (2 tbsp) neutral cooking oil
 - (1) sliced green pepper
 - (2) garlic cloves, finely chopped
 - 15 ml (1 tbsp) fresh ginger, chopped
 - (1) small chopped chili pepper, or to taste
 - 30 ml (2 tbsp) sesame oil
 - 125 ml (1/2 cup) orange juice
 - 80 ml (1/3 cup) brown sugar or sugar
 - 45 ml (3 tbsp) soy sauce
 - 15 ml (1 tbsp) hot sauce (chili crisp)
 - salt and pepper to taste
 - cooked white or jasmine rice
 
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, flour and bicarbonate.
 - Coat the beef slices with this mixture, then shake them lightly to remove the excess.
 - In a large, hot skillet or wok over high heat, in hot neutral oil, sear the beef in small batches until golden brown and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
 - In the same hot pan, add the pepper, onion, garlic, ginger, chili, and let it cook for a few minutes.
 - Add sesame oil, orange juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, hot sauce, mix then reduce to obtain a glossy and slightly syrupy sauce.
 - Return the beef to the pan, coat well with the sauce, and serve immediately with hot rice.
