Ingredients
- 4 salmon steaks
 - 60 ml (4 tablespoons) Cajun spice blend
 - 45 ml (3 tbsp.) maple syrup
 - 4 large slices country-style bread, toasted, cut in half
 - 4 lettuce leaves
 - 1 avocado, sliced
 - 4 slices smoked salmon
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 
Preparation
- Preheat barbecue to maximum.
 - Roll each salmon steak in Cajun spice mixture.
 - Grill the salmon steaks directly on the barbecue for 2 minutes on each side.
 - Brush tops with maple syrup and cook for another 1 minute, to darken.
 - Place the avocado, salmon steaks, lettuce and smoked salmon on 4 half-slices of bread and cover with the remaining bread slices.
