MATCH MUSHROOMS
Portions / Output: 18 units - Preparation: 10 minutes - Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) smoked cooked ham, shredded
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) ricotta cheese
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) cheddar cheese, grated
- 250 ml (1 cup) pecans, roasted
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 sprig thyme, leaves removed
- 18 small button mushrooms, stems removed
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) maple syrup
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a food processor, blend ham, ricotta, cheddar, pecans, garlic and thyme. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Preheat the bbq on high.
- Fill mushroom tops with prepared ham filling.
- Place the garnished mushrooms on the bbq grill over medium heat and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Just before serving, pour the maple syrup over the mushrooms and enjoy warm.
