Ingredients (for 7 stars)
- 1 shortcrust pastry
- 125 ml of jam of your choice (preferably without chunks)
- 60 ml icing sugar
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C.
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry to a maximum thickness of 5 mm. Cut out 14 stars using a cookie cutter. On 7 of them, make a new indentation in the center using a smaller cookie cutter.
- Carefully place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, then bake.
- Bake for about 10 minutes (no more, otherwise the stars will become crumbly when eaten), until they begin to brown slightly around the edges.
- Let cool on a wire rack.
- Spread the jam over the filled stars. Sprinkle the perforated stars with icing sugar.
- Assemble by placing the perforated stars on top of the jam-filled stars.
- Present the stars on a pretty plate and enjoy.
