Ingredients
- 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) butter
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 ml (1 tsp) herbes de Provence
- 4 bacon-cheddar sausages
- 1 ball of pizza dough
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) yellow mustard
- 250 ml (1 cup) Louis d’Or cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 290°C (550°F) with the rack in the center
- In a skillet, cook the onions in butter for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add the maple syrup, garlic, and herbes de Provence, and continue cooking over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the onions are tender and caramelized.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet or on the grill, cook the sausages for 5 to 6 minutes, turning them occasionally so they are cooked through and lightly browned.

- Serve immediately.
Note: If baking in a pizza oven, allow about 3 to 5 minutes of cooking time.
