Ingredients
- 2 Artesano Classic White Baguettes
- 1.2 fl oz (2 tbsp) butter
- 2.4 fl oz (4 tbsp) honey
- 7 oz (200 g) fresh salmon, cut into chunks
- 1.8 fl oz (3 tbsp) olive oil
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) cream cheese
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz) smoked salmon, chopped
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) dill
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) chives, chopped
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Cut the baguettes into 1/2" thick slices.
- In a hot skillet, melt the butter, add the bread slices and brown for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
- Drizzle with honey, add a little salt and pepper and brown for another 2 minutes. Remove and let cool.
- Season the fresh salmon with salt and pepper.
- In the same hot skillet over high heat, sear the fresh salmon in a little olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes.
- Let cool.
- In a bowl, flake the cooked salmon, add the cream cheese, smoked salmon, dill, chives, lemon juice, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Spread the mixture on each crouton.
