A simple, effective and foolproof maple syrup pie recipe.
Ingredients for 6 tartlets
- 1 shortcrust pastry or shortcrust pastry
- 500 ml of maple syrup
- 1 whole egg
- 60 g of flour
- 60 g of 35% cream
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C.
- Using a cookie cutter, cut out 6 discs of shortcrust pastry (or shortcrust pastry) and place them in small, lightly buttered and floured tart molds.
- Prick the dough with a fork.
- In a bowl, using a whisk, mix the maple syrup, egg, cream and flour until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the pastry bases and bake. Bake for about 20 minutes. A caramelized crust should form on the surface of the tartlets.
- Allow to cool completely before unmolding and enjoying.
