Maple Syrup Tartlets

A simple, effective and foolproof maple syrup pie recipe.

Ingredients for 6 tartlets

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C.
  2. Using a cookie cutter, cut out 6 discs of shortcrust pastry (or shortcrust pastry) and place them in small, lightly buttered and floured tart molds.
  3. Prick the dough with a fork.
  4. In a bowl, using a whisk, mix the maple syrup, egg, cream and flour until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture over the pastry bases and bake. Bake for about 20 minutes. A caramelized crust should form on the surface of the tartlets.
  6. Allow to cool completely before unmolding and enjoying.
