Ingredients
- 1 Artesano Classic White Baguette
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1 apple, finely diced
- 1.2 fl oz (2 tbsp) olive oil
- 1.2 fl oz (2 tbsp) maple syrup
- 1 pinch dried thyme
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) spiced rum
- 8 slices raclette cheese, cut into 4 pieces
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz) cooked ham, thinly sliced, cut into 4 pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with the rack in the center.
- In a hot skillet, sauté the shallot and apple in a little olive oil for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the syrup and thyme, then deglaze with the rum.
- Cut the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and top each with the prepared mixture and cheese. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Top each slice of bread with the shredded ham.
