Ingredients
- 4 bagels, cut in half
- 180 g (¾ cup) cream cheese, softened
- 1 large crisp apple, thinly sliced
- 8 slices of bacon
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) honey
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) pecans, coarsely chopped
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) lemon juice
- 1 ml (¼ teaspoon) ground cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, toss the apple slices with the lemon juice and cinnamon.
- Lightly toast the bagels in a toaster or in the oven until golden brown but still soft in the center.
- Generously spread cream cheese on each bagel half.
- Arrange the apple slices on top of the cream cheese, then top with crispy bacon.
- Drizzle with a little honey, sprinkle with pecans, and finish with a pinch of salt. Serve immediately, while the bagel is still slightly warm.
