Serves: 2 – Preparation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cream
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) plain yogurt
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) sugar
- 5 ml (1 tsp) of vanilla extract
- 2 small cups of espresso coffee
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) Amaretto
- 2 slices of Jonathan Garnier chocolate sandwich cake
- Granola or cereal of your choice (optional)
Preparation
- In a bowl, whisk the 35% cream, sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Incorporate the yogurt, whisk until you obtain a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Cut each slice of chocolate sandwich cake into three triangles.
- Place the cake triangles in the bottom of two shallow bowls.
- Add a generous dollop of cream to the center of each plate.
- If desired, sprinkle with a few granola or cereal pieces to add crunch.
- When ready to serve, prepare two small espresso coffees. While still hot, add the Amaretto.
- Carefully pour the hot Amaretto-flavored coffee into the bottom of the plate, around the cake and cream, then enjoy immediately.
