HONEY AND MUSTARD PORK CHOPS
Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 15 to 20 minutes - Cooking time : about 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) strong mustard
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) yellow mustard
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) gherkins, chopped
- 1 lemon, juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 poultry stock cube or 30 ml (2 tbsp.) liquid poultry stock
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) honey
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) basil, chopped
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) cream
- salt and pepper to taste
Topping
- Rice or pasta
- Grilled vegetables of your choice
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the hot and yellow mustards, add the gherkins, lemon juice, garlic, broth and honey and mix.
- Add onions and chops and marinate for a few minutes.
- In a hot frying pan, sear the chops and onions for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- At the end of cooking, add the basil and cream and mix. Adjust seasoning.
- Serve with rice or pasta and grilled vegetables.
