Honey and mustard pork chops

HONEY AND MUSTARD PORK CHOPS

Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 15 to 20 minutes - Cooking time : about 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) strong mustard
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) yellow mustard
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) gherkins, chopped
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 poultry stock cube or 30 ml (2 tbsp.) liquid poultry stock
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) honey
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) basil, chopped
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

Topping

  • Rice or pasta
  • Grilled vegetables of your choice

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine the hot and yellow mustards, add the gherkins, lemon juice, garlic, broth and honey and mix.
  2. Add onions and chops and marinate for a few minutes.
  3. In a hot frying pan, sear the chops and onions for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  4. At the end of cooking, add the basil and cream and mix. Adjust seasoning.
  5. Serve with rice or pasta and grilled vegetables.
